Drosophila Hydei „Golden”:
The Drosophila Hydei „Golden” is a classic among feeder insects! The large, bright, and flightless fly with its brown eyes is highly productive and hatches at a temperature of 23°C after about three weeks. It is very popular as food for small reptiles and amphibians, such as dendrobates, young chameleons, or geckos.
A breeding culture is delivered in a 0.5-liter cup.
The Hydei „Golden” is bred in limited quantities. If no Hydei „Golden” are available, we will send black Hydei as a substitute.
The breeding cultures are inoculated by us with approximately 50 insects.
Please note:
During the delivery of the packages, it may happen that the packages are transported upside down. Especially in the warm months, this can cause the mash to leak and the mesh to stick. Please replace the mesh with a piece of nylon stocking or a sheet of kitchen paper in this case. There will still be enough larvae in the remaining mash to ensure a large yield.
