Information on the Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE / ElektroG)
In connection with the sale of electrical and electronic equipment, we are obliged to inform you of the following:

All electrical devices that can be used in private households are marked with the symbol of the crossed-out wheeled waste bin.
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled waste bin according to Annex 3 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) means the separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment from unsorted municipal waste.

Owners of waste equipment must ensure that it is collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. Waste equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.

Waste batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the waste equipment, as well as lamps that can be removed from the equipment without being destroyed, must be separated from the waste equipment before being handed over to a collection point.

Distributors pursuant to § 17 ElektroG, i.e. those with a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 square meters as well as food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800 square meters, who offer and place electrical and electronic equipment on the market several times a year or permanently, are obliged to take back waste equipment free of charge as follows:
- a. When purchasing a new electrical or electronic device, distributors obliged to take back equipment must accept a waste device of the same type, which essentially fulfills the same functions as the new device, free of charge at the place of delivery or in the immediate vicinity. The place of delivery also includes the private household, insofar as delivery takes place there.
- b. At your request, distributors must also take back waste equipment that does not exceed 25 centimeters in any external dimension, free of charge. The take-back is not linked to the purchase of an electrical or electronic device and is limited to three waste devices per type of device.
- c. In the case of contracts concluded using distance communication means, free collection is limited to electrical and electronic equipment of categories 1 (heat exchangers), 2 (screens, monitors, and equipment containing screens with a surface area of more than 100 square centimeters), and 4 (large equipment). The return of electrical and electronic equipment of categories 3 (lamps), 5 (small equipment), and 6 (small IT and telecommunications equipment) as well as waste equipment with a dimension of up to 25 centimeters must be ensured through suitable return options within a reasonable distance.

For private households, the return is possible at the municipal collection points of your city or municipality, for example at recycling centers or with the hazardous waste mobile. In addition, if offered in your municipality, you can request collection of waste equipment via bulky waste disposal or dispose of small devices in collection containers in public places.

We expressly point out that end users themselves are responsible for deleting personal data from the waste equipment to be disposed of.
7.
